Tina Thompson, MSN, FNP-C, Family Nurse Practitioner

Tina Thompson is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a diverse clinical background spanning primary care, correctional medicine, telehealth, community health, and acute-care assessment. Her path into healthcare began as an EMT and continued through roles as an LPN and registered nurse before she earned her Master of Science in Nursing and became a Family Nurse Practitioner — a journey that shaped her respect for patients, attention to the whole picture, and belief that good healthcare requires more than simply treating a diagnosis.

As a nurse practitioner, Tina believes her job is not simply to diagnose and treat, but to listen, educate, and advocate — approaching healthcare as a partnership that combines clinical evidence with each patient’s experiences, concerns, and goals. She has cared for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic health concerns, often in complex environments requiring clinical independence and thoughtful decision-making.

Tina believes patients should understand not only what is being recommended, but why. Being an advocate does not always mean agreeing — it means listening, explaining, and helping patients navigate healthcare with reliable information and someone firmly in their corner.

Every visit starts with time and a real conversation — not a rushed ten minutes and a prescription pad.
